Baggage policy
Basic includes a personal item and a 10 kg carry-on; checked bags paid. Classic includes one 23 kg bag; Flex includes two. Extra bags cost about $50 to $80 each way; overweight up to 32 kg about $80.
Changes and refunds
Basic is non-changeable; Classic changes cost about $75 plus fare difference; Flex is free to change. 24 hour free cancellation on US-sold tickets.
Notes for Haiti and Caribbean travelers
Avianca is rarely the right choice for Haiti or the northern Caribbean from the US because it routes south first. We include it for South American connections.
