United Airlines
United is the Newark hub carrier, flying nonstop to Paris, Lagos and Santo Domingo from Terminal C. It has no Haiti service.
Baggage policy
Economy includes a carry-on and one checked bag (50 lb) to the Caribbean and Europe, and two to Lagos. Basic Economy allows only a personal item on transatlantic and most Caribbean routes and charges $35 to $40 for the first bag to the Caribbean, $75 to Europe. Second bags cost $45 to $100. Overweight 51 to 70 lb adds $100 to $200 by route; over 70 lb is not accepted on most international routes.
Changes and refunds
No change fees on Economy and above for travel starting in the US; fare difference applies, and cancelled tickets become a future flight credit valid one year. Basic Economy cannot be changed or cancelled except within 24 hours of purchase. Refunds are due in cash when United cancels or significantly changes your flight.
Notes for Haiti and Caribbean travelers
United is the Newark choice for Paris, Lagos and Santo Domingo. For Haiti, United has no service; from Newark the nonstop to Cap-Haïtien is Sunrise Airways.
