Questions about cars

Why no self-drive in Haiti?

Road conditions, security and the lack of roadside help make it a bad idea for visitors. A car with a driver who knows the roads costs about the same and is far safer.

Do I need an international permit?

In the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and France a US license is accepted for short rentals. Check the partner's terms for your license.

What about insurance on the rental?

Rental insurance is chosen on the partner's site at checkout. Our travel insurance plans do not cover rental car damage.
