I built Jetvala so our families could fly home without guessing what a ticket really costs.

John Clerge is the founder of Jetvala Travel LLC, a New Jersey travel company based in Plainfield. He is Haitian, he lives and works in New Jersey, and he built this company for the diaspora he has served across a desk for years.

John Clerge also owns and runs JRICKSS Financial Services LLC, a New Jersey firm that handles tax and financial work for the Haitian community. That work is where Jetvala came from: he kept meeting people who had been overcharged for a flight home and had nobody to call in their own language when it went wrong.

I am John Clerge. I am Haitian, I live and work in New Jersey, and I started Jetvala for people like my own family: the diaspora in New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts and Florida who fly to Haiti and around the Caribbean, often at the hardest moments of their lives.

I already run JRICKSS Financial Services LLC, a New Jersey firm that does tax and financial work for the Haitian community. Year after year I sat across the desk from people who had paid far too much for a flight home, who had been charged fees nobody explained to them, and who had nobody to call in their own language when a flight was cancelled. That is the problem Jetvala exists to fix.

So Jetvala shows you the total price. The taxes are in it. The Jetvala service fee is in it too, on its own line, before you pay. There is no hidden markup on the airline fare.

And when you need a person, you get a person. We answer on WhatsApp and on the phone, in English, in Kreyòl and in French, because that is how our families actually talk.

I put my name on this company on purpose. If Jetvala ever gets something wrong for you, I want you to know exactly who to come to.
