Terminal A handles nearly all US flights. Check-in for US departures is slow with large family groups; three hours ahead is right in holiday weeks. Security is a single checkpoint that backs up when the morning bank departs.

Complete the free electronic entry and exit form at migracion.gob.do before you fly; the QR code is scanned at immigration. The tourist card fee is included in the ticket. Customs uses a random light system; declare cash over $10,000.

Official taxis at the exit charge a set fare to the Zona Colonial and Piantini (about $35 to $45). Uber operates but pickup rules vary; the pickup point is outside the parking area. Caribe Tours and Metro buses to Santiago leave from the city, not the airport.

Fill in the e-ticket form for both arrival and departure; airline staff check it at the counter. Keep the tourist fee receipt if you paid separately on an old ticket.
